Forrest Clay-Suggs

Forrest Clay has written for the AfricanAmericanAthlete.com. In his writings he has discussed business and sports by tackling race related issues that often get overlooked in the process. He has held many leadership positions in government, business and education. Community activist and an accomplished leader, veteran, and educator with extensive experience in management and leadership. Currently Mr. Clay serves as the professional development coordinator/recruitment coordinator for the PrePost Game.

Mr. Clay served as a Captain in the United States Army, a former coach, provided educational experience with the University of Kentucky’s documentary for education, served as a producer for From Jim to James Crow, has been featured on several podcasts, created and promoted opportunities for athletes to get into college and has been an outspoken advocate for the athlete. Mr. Clay has created programs for inner city youth and has been a key consultant for the start of Dream Center Academy a charter school that highlights Black excellence in its curriculum in the city of Louisville, KY.

Mr. Clay is a husband to Angela Clay and father to four kids.

His educational background and certifications varies in degrees to include a Prejudice Reduction and Conflict Resolution, Associates in Arts History from Bishop State Community College (HBCU), Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Saint Leo University, Master of Business Administration (MBA) Sports Management/Organizational Leadership from Saint Leo University, Army Leadership, Captains Career Course, and is currently a doctoral candidate at Northcentral University in Organizational Leadership/Athletic Administration.
